This Rittenhouse Resonator chime may have been made by Rittenhouse for their Cleartone economy brand or as a private labeled product for a retailer. The cover is not branded with Rittenhouse although the mechanism is so marked.
Unlike most other Rittenhouse products where the tone bars were embedded in the resonators, this chime has external resonators. The resonators are plated steel instead of solid brass adding more evidence this chime was probably manufactured to meet an economy price point. Still, this chime is a quality product and features the Rittenhouse Floating Percussion solenoid unit.
